The Rookie
So, I figured while I had some "extra" time on my hands this summer I would follow suit with many family members and create a blog. So, hang in there while I experiment and try it. Hopefully before school starts I will be as professional as my cousin's wife Meghan and have it down pat! We hope you enjoy the little glimpse of our lives with a dog, new house, and a 1 year old!!

You are so sweet! I'm obsessed with blogging - it is sooo much fun. This is as close to scrapbooking as it comes for me. :)I'm so excited you've started a blog and that I get to leave your first comment! Now we'll get to see Kayin growing up right before our eyes! Well, the next step is figuring out how to add a video! The sweet laughter from a 14 month old is precious!
Troubleshooting question--how do you personalize and add pictures to your profile section on the left hand side? I would like to try and customize it soon otherwise I know time will go by before I get to that!
If you go into Customize at the very top of the page - it's by the sign-in -and then choose Layout, you'll see your blog format. In here you can customize your blog and get really creative. Choose Add Page Element and you can choose a whole variety of options for your sidebar - oh, the fun you will have! And adding video is just like adding a picture - you do it in the same place. I get so frustrated by my lack of knowledge - there are so many things you can do with a blog - I'm glad I have Todd to help me navigate. The Help menu is great, and they also have Blogging for Dummies which I've found helpful. Good luck - I can't wait to see the changes!
