Haircut anyone??!!

So, Justin wanted to get creative with Kayin's hair...I told him it was ok as long as he didn't shave it, dye it like a leopard, or spike it!! This is where his creativity took him today. As many of you know, Justin has had numerous hair styles and he vowed three years ago on July 16 that if we had children, he would try his best not to influence too much!! :) However, if we were to cut her hair, then we wouldn't be able to have this lovely hairstyle. Which I must admit, is one of my favorites!!

Trip to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo (one of many!!)

Well, we adventured to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo about 2 weeks ago. Kayin was not sure of the train, but once it started rolling and she saw all the animals, she was screaming in excitement!! She absolutely LOVES going to the zoo...she started crying when we had to leave!






Kayin takes after her daddy! As a child, Justin loved going to the zoo and still to this day, acts as a kid in a candy store when we go there. Her first trip was actually last year on Mother's Day at Brookfield Zoo in La Grange, Illinois. She was only 2 weeks old!! I may have to see if I can unearth that picture!! She didn't understand why she couldn't reach up and touch the sharks!!

The Rookie

So, I figured while I had some "extra" time on my hands this summer I would follow suit with many family members and create a blog. So, hang in there while I experiment and try it. Hopefully before school starts I will be as professional as my cousin's wife Meghan and have it down pat! We hope you enjoy the little glimpse of our lives with a dog, new house, and a 1 year old!!
